Our Story

Born From Injustice. Built on Faith.

Nothing Without You was founded by someone who knows firsthand what it means to be forgotten by the system — and what it means to be found. This is a mission rooted in lived experience, faith, and an unshakeable belief that every human being deserves dignity.

Why We Exist

The American prison system holds over 2 million people. Many of them have had their constitutional rights violated — denied due process, subjected to cruel conditions, cut off from family and legal help. Most of them have no one fighting for them.

Nothing Without You was created to change that. We believe that justice is not just a legal concept — it is a moral imperative. We show up for those who have been abandoned, because we know what abandonment feels like.

Our name says it all: we are nothing without you — without the people inside, without the volunteers, without the community that refuses to look away.

What We Stand For

01

Dignity

Every incarcerated person is a human being made in the image of God. We treat them as such — with respect, compassion, and unwavering belief in their worth.

02

Justice

Constitutional rights are not optional. We document violations, amplify voices, and connect people with the resources they need to fight back.

03

Community

Isolation is a weapon. We build bridges — through letters, calls, visits, and presence — because connection is a form of resistance.

04

Faith

We are sustained by the belief that no darkness is permanent. Hope is not naive — it is the most radical act available to us.

Voices From Inside

I had given up. Then a letter arrived from a stranger who said they saw me. That letter changed everything.

My rights were violated and I had no one. Nothing Without You connected me with information I didn't know existed. I am fighting now.
